Finance Integration Manager (Acquisitions)

A fast-growing, private equity-backed, multi-site business is looking for a Finance Integration Manager to take ownership of onboarding newly acquired businesses into the central group finance function.

This is a highly visible, hands-on role within an ambitious buy-and-build environment, where acquisitions are a key part of the growth strategy.

The position will suit someone who enjoys getting into the detail, understanding how newly acquired businesses currently operate, and leading the full finance integration process from onboarding through to implementation and adoption.

This is not a BAU finance role. The successful person will become the go-to individual responsible for ensuring newly acquired entities are seamlessly integrated into the wider group structure from a:

• Finance systems perspective

• Banking and treasury setup

• Process and controls perspective

• Data and reporting perspective

• Operational onboarding perspective

You will work closely with senior leadership, operational teams and newly acquired businesses to ensure integrations are delivered smoothly, efficiently and with minimal disruption.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end onboarding of newly acquired businesses into the group finance function

• Manage finance systems implementations, migrations and integrations

• Coordinate setup of banking, payments, reporting and finance workflows

• Review existing finance processes and identify improvements and efficiencies

• Support automation and standardisation across the wider group

• Act as the key finance contact throughout the acquisition integration process

• Work closely with stakeholders across Finance, Operations, IT and senior leadership

Ideal background:

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)

• Experience integrating acquired businesses into a group structure

• Strong finance systems and implementation exposure

• Comfortable working in fast-paced, acquisitive or multi-site environments

• Strong communication skills with a proactive, hands-on approach

• Enjoys problem solving, process improvement and operating autonomously

Assistant / Management Accountant

Professional Services | Reading (Hybrid – 2 days in office) | £35,000 – £45,000

What you’ll be doing

Transactional & Controls

• Overseeing purchase and sales ledger reviews

• Managing invoicing, expenses, and debt collection

• Bank postings and reconciliations

• Supporting VAT returns and ensuring controls are followed

Month-end & Reporting

• Supporting preparation of monthly management accounts

• Posting journals (accruals, prepayments, depreciation)

• Balance sheet reconciliations

• Supporting cash flow forecasting and variance analysis

Budgets & Forecasting

• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting cycles

• Supporting stakeholders with cost tracking

• Maintaining reporting timetables

Year-end & Projects

• Supporting year-end processes and audit preparation

• Assisting with finance projects and system improvements

What we’re looking for

Essential

• 2–4+ years’ experience in a finance role

• Strong grounding in transactional finance and month-end

• Good Excel skills (PivotTables, Lookups)

• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Desirable

• Part-qualified (AAT / ACCA / CIMA)

• Exposure to budgeting or commercial finance

• Experience with ERP systems

• Interest in systems, reporting, or Power BI

• £35,000 – £45,000 salary (DOE)

• Hybrid working – 2 days per week in Reading

• Reporting into an experienced and supportive Finance Director
