This is a senior finance leadership role with responsibility for financial control, group reporting, compliance and the continued development of the finance function.

As Group Financial Controller, you’ll work closely with the Finance Director and senior leadership team, giving you the opportunity to shape how financial control operates across the group. You’ll have the autonomy to strengthen processes, develop the team and make sure finance is ready to support future growth.

How you’ll make an impact

• Lead the month-end and year-end close across multiple entities
• Own group reporting and the preparation of consolidated financial statements
• Strengthen balance sheet controls, reconciliations and financial governance
• Manage statutory reporting, tax compliance and the external audit process
• Oversee transactional finance, including AP, AR, banking and payroll interfaces
• Improve cash management, cash flow reporting and treasury processes
• Partner with FP&A to connect actual performance with budgets and forecasts
• Provide technical accounting guidance to finance and senior stakeholders
• Develop financial systems, controls and reporting as the organisation grows
• Identify opportunities to automate and streamline finance processes
• Lead, coach and develop the finance team, creating clear ownership and accountability

Why you’re a great fit

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Strong technical accounting and consolidated reporting experience

Financial Controller

Core3 is delighted to be working with a growing, investment-backed business in Bristol to recruit a Financial Controller during an exciting stage of its growth.

This is a hands-on role where you'll take ownership of financial control, management reporting, and operational finance while helping build the systems, processes, and controls needed to support the next phase of the business.

Manufacturing cost accounting is central to this position. You'll be the finance lead for costing, inventory, and operational performance, partnering closely with the wider business to ensure financial information supports better commercial decisions.

How you'll make an impact

• Lead the month-end close process and deliver accurate management accounts
• Own all aspects of manufacturing cost accounting, including Bill of Materials (BOM) costing, inventory reporting, and product costing
• Analyse manufacturing costs and margins, identifying opportunities to improve profitability
• Partner with operational teams to improve costing accuracy and drive better business decisions
• Strengthen financial controls and establish scalable finance processes
• Support the implementation and optimisation of ERP systems
• Develop reporting that provides greater visibility of operational and financial performance
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
• Manage statutory reporting and coordinate the year-end audit
• Help develop the finance function as the business continues to grow

Why you're a great fit

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Strong experience as a Financial Controller or senior finance professional within a manufacturing environment
• Proven expertise in manufacturing cost accounting is essential
• Experience with Bill of Materials (BOM) costing, inventory accounting, standard costing, and stock valuation
• Strong understanding of management accounts, financial reporting, and month-end close
• Experience improving financial controls and finance processes
• Exposure to ERP systems and finance transformation projects
• Strong commercial awareness with the confidence to challenge and influence operational stakeholders
• A hands-on approach with the ability to thrive in a growing business

Head of Finance

Core3 is working with a fast-growing organisation preparing for an exciting period of growth. With significant investment secured and major operational milestones ahead, they're building the foundations needed to scale successfully over the coming years.

This Head of Finance role offers the opportunity to build and shape a finance function from the ground up. Working closely with senior leadership, you'll take ownership of financial control, systems, cost accounting and operational finance while creating the processes and structure needed to support future growth.

Manufacturing and cost accounting experience are essential for this role. You'll play a key role in supporting operational decision-making, improving financial visibility and ensuring the business is ready to scale.

How you'll make an impact

• Lead the development of a scalable finance function and control environment
• Own the month-end close process and ensure accurate financial reporting
• Deliver management accounts that support commercial decision-making

Why you're a great fit

You'll be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong financial control experience and a hands-on approach to building processes and improving performance.

Most importantly, you'll have worked within a manufacturing environment and bring strong cost accounting experience, including Bill of Materials (BOM) costing and inventory reporting.

You'll also bring:

• Experience producing management accounts and leading month-end close activities
• Strong understanding of financial controls, governance and financial reporting
• Experience working with ERP systems and improving finance processes
• Ability to challenge costs and partner effectively with operational teams
• Confidence working closely with senior stakeholders and business leaders
• A practical, hands-on approach to solving problems and delivering results
• Experience supporting or leading ERP implementations would be beneficial
• Previous experience developing finance teams would be advantageous
• Comfortable operating in a growing and evolving business environment
