Financial Controller
Core3 is delighted to be working with a growing, investment-backed business in Bristol to recruit a Financial Controller during an exciting stage of its growth.
This is a hands-on role where you'll take ownership of financial control, management reporting, and operational finance while helping build the systems, processes, and controls needed to support the next phase of the business.
Manufacturing cost accounting is central to this position. You'll be the finance lead for costing, inventory, and operational performance, partnering closely with the wider business to ensure financial information supports better commercial decisions.

How you'll make an impact
- Lead the month-end close process and deliver accurate management accounts
- Own all aspects of manufacturing cost accounting, including Bill of Materials (BOM) costing, inventory reporting, and product costing
- Analyse manufacturing costs and margins, identifying opportunities to improve profitability
- Partner with operational teams to improve costing accuracy and drive better business decisions
- Strengthen financial controls and establish scalable finance processes
- Support the implementation and optimisation of ERP systems
- Develop reporting that provides greater visibility of operational and financial performance
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
- Manage statutory reporting and coordinate the year-end audit
- Help develop the finance function as the business continues to grow
Why you're a great fit
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- Strong experience as a Financial Controller or senior finance professional within a manufacturing environment
- Proven expertise in manufacturing cost accounting is essential
- Experience with Bill of Materials (BOM) costing, inventory accounting, standard costing, and stock valuation
- Strong understanding of management accounts, financial reporting, and month-end close
- Experience improving financial controls and finance processes
- Exposure to ERP systems and finance transformation projects
- Strong commercial awareness with the confidence to challenge and influence operational stakeholders
- A hands-on approach with the ability to thrive in a growing business

- £75,000–£85,000 salary
