Interim Title: Finance Controller (FC)

 

Core3 are delighted to recruit an Interim Financial Controller opportunity with a leading organisation in Central Bristol. £400-450 per day. Hybrid working.

How you’ll make an impact

 

We are seeking a Finance Controller (FC) to join our dynamic team for a 6-month role. The FC will play a crucial role in supporting financial operations, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, and facilitating strategic decision-making.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Deputy Director to support day-to-day financial activities.
  • Manage internal accounting and reporting processes, including analysis, compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and generating reports for stakeholders.
  • Act as a liaison between finance and project teams, overseeing revenue recognition from projects and ensuring timely delivery of reports.
  • Monitor cash flow, including capex and high-value, low-volume transactions.
  • Mitigate financial risk by closely monitoring weather conditions and coordinating deployments accordingly.
  • Cover for Heads of Mission (HMs) as they transition onto projects, ensuring seamless financial operations.
  • Contribute to strategic financial planning and cost control initiatives to achieve breakeven targets.

 

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in finance and accounting roles, preferably in a project-based environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, including IFRS and internal analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders and negotiate with suppliers.
  • Proficiency in Excel for tracking payment terms, analyzing cash flow, and reporting.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a focus on growth and sustainability.
