Accounts Payable (6-month FTC)

Core3 are delighted to recruit an Accounts Payable on a 6 month fixed term contract with a leading organisation in Central Bristol. £35,000-£40,000 per annum (pro-rata for the duration of the contract) Hybrid working.

How you'll make an impact

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating payments to suppliers, negotiating payment terms, and maintaining effective communication with internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Coordinate payments to suppliers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Negotiate payment terms with suppliers to optimize cash flow and maintain positive relationships.
  • Track all payment terms and deadlines, providing regular reports to internal stakeholders.
  • Utilize spreadsheet software proficiently to manage payment data and generate reports.
  • Act as a liaison between the company and suppliers, handling communication and addressing any payment-related issues.
  • Push back on suppliers when necessary to ensure compliance with payment terms and company policies.
  • Collaborate with Finance Assistants to manage transactional activities, focusing on high-value, low-volume transactions.
  • Engage in low-volume, high-value transactions, processing approximately 20-40 transactions per day.
  • Conduct cognitive, personality, and Excel exercises as part of the recruitment process.
  • Participate in face-to-face interviews with Nick in Central Bristol.

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • Previous experience in supply chain or procurement is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet software, particularly Excel, to manage payment data and generate reports.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial transactions and data.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working in an office environment in Central Bristol, with the flexibility to work 4-5 days per week (potentially flexing to 3 days) during core hours of 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.
