Financial Accounting Manager | FinTech World | London (Hybrid) | £80,000 to £95,000

A fast growing global FinTech business is looking to hire a Financial Accounting Manager to join its central finance team in London. This role sits at the intersection of technical accounting, financial reporting, and strategic finance projects within a complex international organisation.

Working closely with senior finance leadership, you will help navigate complex accounting topics, support global reporting processes, and contribute to strengthening accounting frameworks across a multi entity international group.

The Role

This position offers broad exposure across technical accounting, consolidation, and financial reporting, with regular interaction with senior stakeholders across the business.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assessing and resolving complex or non routine accounting transactions and preparing clear accounting position papers under IFRS.

• Supporting the preparation and review of group financial statements and disclosures across a multi entity structure.

• Advising internal stakeholders on the accounting implications of new commercial initiatives, products, and partnerships.

• Working closely with finance teams across the business to ensure accurate financial reporting and consistent accounting treatment.

• Supporting monthly and annual reporting processes, including consolidation and group reporting activities.

• Acting as a key contact for external auditors on technical accounting matters.

• Monitoring developments in IFRS and accounting standards, assessing the impact on the business and implementing new guidance where required.

• Driving improvements in accounting policies, controls, and financial reporting processes.

• Contributing to finance transformation projects and process improvements as the organisation continues to scale.

The Profile

We are ideally looking for a technically strong accountant with a combination of Big Four training and industry experience.

Typical background:

• ACA qualified (Big Four preferred)

• 3 to 4 years’ post qualified industry experience

• Strong grounding in IFRS and technical accounting topics

• Experience working in financial services, technology, or FinTech businesses

• Exposure to complex group structures, financial reporting, or consolidation

• Ability to communicate complex accounting topics clearly to non finance stakeholders

• Proactive mindset with a desire to improve finance processes and systems
