Finance Systems Accountant

Core3 is delighted to be working with an established organisation in Bristol to recruit a Finance Systems Accountant to join its finance team.

As Finance Systems Accountant, you’ll combine your accounting knowledge with technology, helping improve the tools and processes finance teams rely on every day.

You’ll work closely with colleagues across finance and technology, giving you plenty of exposure to systems projects, reporting improvements and wider finance change. It’s a varied role where you can take ownership, solve problems and see the impact of the improvements you deliver.

How you’ll make an impact

• Identify opportunities to improve finance systems and processes
• Support system upgrades, enhancements, testing and implementation projects
• Review existing processes and introduce more efficient ways of working
• Use SQL to query and analyse financial data
• Improve the quality, accuracy and consistency of finance data
• Develop financial reports and dashboards to support decision-making
• Partner with finance and technology teams to resolve systems issues
• Strengthen controls across finance systems and processes
• Provide guidance and training to colleagues on systems and new processes
• Contribute to wider finance transformation and continuous improvement projects

Why you’re a great fit

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Experience in finance systems, systems accounting or a similar role
• Experience supporting finance system upgrades, implementations or improvement projects
• Experience using SQL to query, analyse and interpret financial data
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working across both finance and technology teams
• Able to identify practical opportunities to improve processes and data quality
• Confident communicating system changes and supporting colleagues through change

• £50,000–£60,000 salary
