Senior Financial Accountant

Core3 is delighted to be working with an established global organisation to recruit a Senior Financial Accountant. This is a permanent opportunity for an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant with strong audit experience who wants to develop their career across financial reporting, financial controls and international accounting.

How you'll make an impact

• Take ownership of month-end reporting, ensuring financial information is accurate and delivered on time

• Coordinate external audits, managing audit queries, supporting schedules and financial reporting requirements

• Review accounting processes and identify opportunities to strengthen internal controls

• Support internal audit activities, assessing risks and addressing control weaknesses

• Challenge balance sheet reconciliations and resolve complex accounting issues

• Support group consolidations across multiple entities and currencies

• Improve financial reporting processes and maintain strong accounting standards

• Provide technical guidance and support to international finance colleagues

• Manage and develop a member of the finance team, reviewing their work and supporting their progression

• Work with senior stakeholders to improve financial governance and reporting quality

Why you're a great fit

You'll be a fully qualified ACA or ACCA accountant with a strong technical accounting background and experience in external audit, financial reporting or financial controls.

We're particularly interested in candidates from an audit background in accountancy practice who are looking to make their first move into industry, although those already working in industry are equally welcome.

• Strong external audit experience and understanding of statutory financial statements

• Knowledge of internal audit, risk assessment and financial controls

• Experience reviewing accounting treatments, reconciliations and financial reporting processes

• Confidence identifying financial risks and recommending practical improvements

• Good understanding of month-end reporting and balance sheet accounting

• Strong Excel skills and the ability to work with complex financial information

• Experience reviewing colleagues' work or supporting junior team members

• Clear communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders
