Management Accountant
Core3 are delighted to recruit a Management Accountant for one of the South West's most successful manfacturing organisations.

As a pivotal member of the finance team, the Management Accountant will support across a range of management and financial functions. It is anticipated that this role will evolve as the business matures and develops, requiring the post holder to be flexible, adaptable, and receptive to changes to ensure the role reflects the business requirements.
How you'll make an impact?
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly and annual financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Analyze financial data, identifying trends, and explaining variances to the Finance Director and stakeholders outside of finance.
- Execute month-end tasks such as posting journals for accruals and prepayments.
- Raise intercompany recharges and reconcile intercompany balances.
- Prepare reports for group consolidation and provide associated analysis.
- Prepare and review the Monthly balance sheet pack.
- Handle HMRC/Taxation related tasks, including VAT Returns, Corp Tax (with advisors), and analysis for Corp Tax.
- Lead the planning and execution of statutory and interim audits, including Group reporting requirements and YE audit adjustments.
- Provide ad hoc reporting, e.g., National Statistics, Companies House.
- Provide cover for the Finance Business Partner and Treasury when required, including tasks such as cash forecasting, P&L forecasting, and P&L Analysis.
- Fulfill other responsibilities as requested by the Finance Director.
Experience Required
- Chartered Accountant
- Fast learner of ERP systems and finance tasks
- Self-Starter, actioning tasks without being asked.
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Vlookups)
- An operational understanding of ERP platforms.
- Ability to work in a busy and dynamic environment.
- Good teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Excellent communication skills with external and internal contacts at all levels.
- Excellent analytical skills and a professional attitude, approachable, and willing to help.
- Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- SAGE / SAP experience
Role Details
- Office working 3-4 days per week (preferably 4 days)
- 6 month contract paying £300 - £350 per day or FTC £55,000 - £65,000
