Accounts Assistant
Core3 is delighted to be partnering with a purpose-driven organisation on a retained basis to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join them in their North Somerset office.

How you’ll make an impact
- Own the day-to-day Accounts Payable process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Support digital invoice processing and help embed automation tools into the purchase-to-pay cycle
- Maintain accurate ledgers, including supplier accounts and bank reconciliations
- Prepare weekly payment runs, refunds, and ad hoc payments
- Manage supplier queries and complete statement reconciliations
- Support Accounts Receivable with sales invoicing and credit control activities
- Assist with month-end close, including balance sheet reconciliations and basic analysis
- Contribute to cashflow forecasting from an AP perspective
- Partner with the Finance Manager to review trade creditors and strengthen financial control
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve processes across AP and AR
Why you’re a great fit
Essential
- Experience in an Accounts Assistant role with strong Accounts Payable exposure
- Understanding of double entry, P&L, and balance sheet fundamentals
- Experience working with invoice volumes and regular payment cycles
- Confident using Excel and finance systems
- Organised, accurate, and able to manage multiple priorities
Desirable
- Exposure to Accounts Receivable or B2B invoicing
- Experience supporting month-end close and reconciliations
- Interest in systems, automation, and improving finance processes

- £28,000–£35,000 salary
- Hybrid working. 2 days per week in the North Somerset office
- Study support (ACCA/CIMA) after probation
