Senior Management Accountant

 

Core3 are delighted to be recruiting a Senior Management Accountant opportunity with a fast paced growing business in Avonmouth of Bristol. £55,000-£65,000

How you’ll make an impact

Reporting to the Finance Controller, the Senior Management Accountant will analyse costs, resolves discrepancies, and manages budgets and forecasts. They ensure compliance, maintain controls, and collaborate with key teams while providing KPI reporting and profit and loss analysis.

 

  • Supervise the Trainee Management Accountant.
  • Prepare overhead budgets.
  • Provide financial forecasts using historical data, market trends, and business objectives.
  • Compare actual costs and revenue against budgets or forecasts.
  • Investigate and explain variances to support corrective actions.
  • Assess product and production line profitability.
  • Advise on pricing strategies and cost allocation.
  • Offer financial insights for strategic decisions, including product launches, investments, and expansions.
  • Support "make or buy" decisions and other operational choices.
  • Prepare detailed management reports on operational performance and key metrics.
  • Help managers understand the financial impact of operational decisions.
  • Model financial outcomes based on variables like raw material costs and production volumes.
  • Identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with production teams to improve process efficiency.
  • Evaluate the financial impact of lean manufacturing and other improvement initiatives.
  • Manage company credit cards.
  • Oversee cash availability and perform monthly reconciliations.
  • Monitor, manage, and update the weekly cash flow forecast

  • CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified

What you’ll get in return

 

  • £55,000 - £65,000 per annum.
