Management Accountant

Core3 are delighted to be partnering with a dynamic, fast-growing group to recruit a talented Management Accountant in Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping financial strategy and supporting commercial growth across a diverse set of businesses.

How you’ll make an impact

As Management Accountant, you’ll prepare financial and management reporting that guides commercial decisions, monitor project performance across the group, and help shape financial processes as the business scales.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading on month-end close, with full ownership of Gross Profit reporting
  • Preparing timely and accurate monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and variance analysis
  • Managing WIP, accrued and deferred income, and other balance sheet items
  • Overseeing accruals, prepayments, and fixed asset registers
  • Monitoring project budgets and highlighting variances
  • Managing sales ledger, invoicing, and client PO processes
  • Ensuring costs and expenses are billed accurately and promptly
  • Managing cash flow, aged debtors, and creditors
  • Analysing utilisation and job profitability
  • Supporting stakeholders with financial insights and commercial analysis
  • Assisting with VAT returns, audits, and statutory reporting

You’ll also have:

  • Solid experience in management accounting and financial reporting
  • Understanding of P&L, balance sheet, accruals, prepayments, and job costing
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong general IT proficiency
  • Experience working across multiple entities or projects
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Desirable:

  • Experience with Paprika or similar finance systems
  • CIMA / ACCA part or fully qualified
