Finance Manager

Core3 is working with a growing business based near Clevedon to recruit a qualified-by-experience Finance Manager to join their finance team.

How you’ll make an impact

• Raise invoices with customers and maintain control over payment terms, following up with customers to obtain payment as appropriate
• Maintain control over the purchase ledger and assist the Director of Finance with weekly payment runs
• Operate the company’s expenses system and integration in to the accounting system
• Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and project specific accounting
• Produce detailed variance analysis and commentary for senior management
• Own balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of issues
• Support year-end statutory accounts preparation and act as a key contact for external accountants
• Maintain and improve financial controls and accounting policies
• Take ownership of financial tracking of installation and service projects, including margin analysis
• Partner with operational teams to monitor project profitability and cost performance
• Support revenue recognition for long-term contracts and milestone billing
• Provide financial insight to support pricing, tendering, and commercial decisions
• Drive improvements in finance processes, reporting, and system utilisation (e.g., Sage)
• Support finance system upgrades, integrations, and reporting automation
