Head of Finance

Core3 is working with a fast-growing organisation preparing for an exciting period of growth. With significant investment secured and major operational milestones ahead, they're building the foundations needed to scale successfully over the coming years.

This Head of Finance role offers the opportunity to build and shape a finance function from the ground up. Working closely with senior leadership, you'll take ownership of financial control, systems, cost accounting and operational finance while creating the processes and structure needed to support future growth.

Manufacturing and cost accounting experience are essential for this role. You'll play a key role in supporting operational decision-making, improving financial visibility and ensuring the business is ready to scale.

How you'll make an impact

• Lead the development of a scalable finance function and control environment
• Own the month-end close process and ensure accurate financial reporting
• Deliver management accounts that support commercial decision-making
• Take ownership of cost accounting, inventory reporting and Bill of Materials (BOM) costing
• Partner with operational teams to challenge costs and identify efficiency opportunities
• Lead ERP implementation and drive process improvements across finance operations
• Strengthen financial controls, governance and compliance frameworks
• Develop procurement processes and supplier documentation standards
• Support statutory reporting, audit readiness and external stakeholder requirements
• Build and develop a finance team as the business continues to grow
  
  

Why you're a great fit

You'll be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong financial control experience and a hands-on approach to building processes and improving performance.

Most importantly, you'll have worked within a manufacturing environment and bring strong cost accounting experience, including Bill of Materials (BOM) costing and inventory reporting.

You'll also bring:

• Experience producing management accounts and leading month-end close activities
• Strong understanding of financial controls, governance and financial reporting
• Experience working with ERP systems and improving finance processes
• Ability to challenge costs and partner effectively with operational teams
• Confidence working closely with senior stakeholders and business leaders
• A practical, hands-on approach to solving problems and delivering results
• Experience supporting or leading ERP implementations would be beneficial
• Previous experience developing finance teams would be advantageous
• Comfortable operating in a growing and evolving business environment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build trusted relationships across the business

• Salary of £75,000 - £85,000
