Assistant Management Accountant

How you’ll make an impact
As Assistant Management Accountant, you’ll play a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, helping the business understand performance, and supporting process improvements as the company continues to scale.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting month-end close, preparing journals for accruals, prepayments, and WIP
- Assisting in preparing monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
- Helping monitor project performance, budgets, and profitability
- Maintaining the sales and purchase ledger, invoicing, and credit control
- Supporting cash flow reporting and analysis
- Reconciling intercompany transactions and assisting with group consolidation
- Assisting with VAT returns and audit preparation
- Providing analysis and insight to senior stakeholders across the business
Why our client is excited about you
You’re a motivated and enthusiastic finance professional with a solid grounding in accounting fundamentals and a desire to keep learning. You bring energy, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to improving processes and supporting decision-making.
You’ll also have:
- AAT qualification (Level 4 or equivalent)
- Desire to start or continue studying ACCA or CIMA (study support provided)
- Good understanding of double-entry bookkeeping, accruals, and prepayments
- Strong Excel and general IT skills
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- The ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
