Assistant Management Accountant

Core3 are delighted to be partnering with a dynamic, fast-growing group to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant in Bristol.

How you’ll make an impact

As Assistant Management Accountant, you’ll play a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, helping the business understand performance, and supporting process improvements as the company continues to scale.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting month-end close, preparing journals for accruals, prepayments, and WIP
  • Assisting in preparing monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Helping monitor project performance, budgets, and profitability
  • Maintaining the sales and purchase ledger, invoicing, and credit control
  • Supporting cash flow reporting and analysis
  • Reconciling intercompany transactions and assisting with group consolidation
  • Assisting with VAT returns and audit preparation
  • Providing analysis and insight to senior stakeholders across the business

You’re a motivated and enthusiastic finance professional with a solid grounding in accounting fundamentals and a desire to keep learning. You bring energy, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to improving processes and supporting decision-making.

You’ll also have:

  • AAT qualification (Level 4 or equivalent)
  • Desire to start or continue studying ACCA or CIMA (study support provided)
  • Good understanding of double-entry bookkeeping, accruals, and prepayments
  • Strong Excel and general IT skills
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • The ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
