How you’ll make an impact
As Head of Commercial Finance in Bristol, you’ll lead the commercial strategy across a diverse range of trading ventures. You’ll bring structure to decision-making, build tools that drive growth, and connect financial performance to social outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:

Owning P&L and balance sheet insights across multiple trading arms.

Building profitability tools that reflect true cost-to-serve by product and service.
-
Developing pricing models, ROI frameworks and commercial bids for new sites, partnerships and M&A activity.

Supporting business cases for digital initiatives such as e-commerce and inventory tracking.

Linking operational drivers – like visitor numbers or occupancy – to financial forecasts.

Creating intuitive Power BI dashboards and KPIs to support informed decision-making.

Demonstrating the connection between surplus and social impact – more jobs, more hours of support.

Designing light-touch control frameworks that scale with growth.

Coaching finance business partners to embed commercial awareness across the organisation.
Why our client is excited about you
You’re a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a strong track record in commercial finance and the drive to turn data into action. You’re comfortable balancing rigour with empathy, and you know how to engage and influence at all levels.
You will also bring:

Proven commercial finance experience, ideally in a multi-entity or customer-focused setting.

Strong Excel skills and familiarity with Power BI or similar analytics tools.

The ability to distil complex data into actionable insight.

Experience influencing non-finance stakeholders and driving cross-functional change.

A collaborative and values-led mindset that fits an inclusive and socially driven culture.
